Join Mrs. Donovall, and homeschooling students every Wednesday afternoon, starting Jan 27, to beat the winter blues and exercise your brain using STEM principles with Minecraft Education Edition. Explore various science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while building and refining your skills in a secure Minecraft world. Basic Minecraft game play knowledge is helpful.

MATERIALS:

  • Device to download Minecraft Education Edition, instructions will be provided. (JAVA edition is best, so you can connect and work with others. If another version is used the student may not be able to work with classmates.)
  • Also, a unique email to be used to login to Minecraft Education Edition/Office 365 for Education. (Provided upon registration.)
  • Textbook: The Official STEM book of Minecraft. ISBN: 978-1-63159-483-0
  • Other materials: student lab journal, various household materials for home projects (optional, but recommended).

Instructor:  Sara Donovall – BS Biology, Messiah Grad then Employee/Teacher, HS biology Teacher at West Shore Christian 2018-19, Teacher with Log Cabin Schoolhouse 2019 – present.

Location: VIRTUAL

When: One day / week, Spring semester. Wednesdays, (1:00 – 3:00 PM EST).

Grades:  4th – 8th (exceptions will be considered for other grades).

Proof of homeschooling required to obtain a license.

BONUS: Students will receive access to Minecraft Education Edition and Office 365 for Education as part of your registration fee! (Very difficult for homeschoolers to obtain.)
